Like you, we are sure, Golesworthy takes health and safety very seriously. We work hard to ensure our fitters work in a safe environment – both for them and others that are on site. But we also recognise the need for work to be done, jobs to be completed on time.

We have dedicated staff to work proactively with your site managers to clear any blocks and ensure optimum efficiency. These are highly experienced managers following proven processes to get the job done safely. It gives you compliance with HSE regulations without sacrificing commercial efficiency.

Understanding our responsibilities under HSE regulations.

We will:

  • Responsibly plan, manage and supervise the work we do for you, considering the risks to anyone who could be affected, including the public.
  • Discuss applicable duties under CDM 2015 at the outset.
  • Make sure that all our fitters have the skills, knowledge, training and experience to do the work or be working towards them.
  • Ensure that our fitters have a site-specific induction, whether given by us or you.
  • Give appropriate information, instructions and supervision to all our fitters.
  • Ensure the site has had reasonable steps taken to secure it from unauthorised access.
  • Check that appropriate welfare facilities are provided for our fitters.
  • Coordinate our work with other contractors on site.
  • Adhere to directions given by the principal contractor or designer.
  • Stick to the sections of the construction phase plan relevant to us.

These are the standards expected from HSE and we will apply them sensibly – working in conjunction with your site manager. As standard, we advise clarifying health and safety matters during the pre-let meeting.
